NEA employees’ facilities increased

KATHMANDU, Aug 18: The executive director of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Kulman Ghising has increased the facilities of NEA employees. Ghising announced the facility increase of the employees on the occasion of the NEA anniversary on Friday.

NEA has continued to give the annual celebration allowance of Rs 15,000 to the employees given every year, while the maternity allowance given to female employees has been increased from 7,500 to 15,000. Similarly, for the purchase of electric vehicles by the employees, the facility of Rs.3 lakh has been increased to Rs.5 lakh, while the educational subsidy has also been increased from Rs.10,000 to Rs.30,000. Similarly, the natural calamity subsidy given to employees has been increased from Rs.20,000 to Rs.40,000.

Ghising has also announced that if an employee dies in the course of work, he will provide an immortal certificate and 5,000 funeral expenses to the family. Ghising has also announced to set up a scholarship fund of Rs. 5 million for the children of the employees. Ghising has also announced that an additional Rs. 1000 has been added to the accommodation expenses of the employees and a Child Care Centre will be established in every office of NEA.
