12 roads blocked due to heavy rain and landslides
KATHMANDU, Aug 13: It is raining all over the country as the Monsoon low-pressure line is located to the north of Sardar (near Nepal).
Floods and landslides are affecting the lives of people all over the country due to continuous rainfall. Because of the floods and landslides, 12 roads across the country have been blocked.
The Tamor Corridor in Panchthar has been blocked due to flooding. Similarly, the Udaypur section of the Madan Bhandari Highway and the Betrabati Kalikasthan road section of the Pasang Lhamu Highway have been blocked due to landslides.
The Kulekhani-Sisneri-Kathmandu road section in Makawanpur, and the Beni Jomsom road section in Myagdi have also been blocked by a landslide. A landslide has also occurred at Beni Jomson Road in Mustang, and due to the landslide, the Beshisahar Manang road section has been blocked.
Similarly, due to the incessant rains and landslides, the Thawang Ghorahi road section in Rolpa has been blocked, while the Surkhet Dailekh road section has only been operating one way. The Bhimdatta Highway in Kailali, on the other hand, has been blocked completely by the landslides.
Due to the possibility of heavy rainfall, the Traffic Division has urged people across the country to plan a trip only after having complete information about road conditions.
