Gold smuggling case: Two Chinese citizens released

KATHMANDU, Aug 12: Two Chinese citizens suspected to be involved in the smuggling of 1 quintal gold have been released.

Central Police Spokesperson DIG, Kuber Kadayat, informed that the Chinese citizens Li Jialin and Liu Fuyan were released on Friday.

The Immigration Department had arrested them on Friday morning at the airport as they were about to fly to China. They were blacklisted by the Department at the request of the Department of Revenue Investigation.

DIG Kadayat informed that they were released by the Central Investigation Bureau after it was revealed that they were not involved in the gold smuggling case.
