Lalita Niwas case: Permission to detain arrestees for 7 more days

KATHMANDU, Aug 9: The Kathmandu District Court has given the permission to detain those arrested in the Lalita Niwas case for 7 more days for investigation.

On the 27th of June, the Central Bureau of Investigation  (CIB) arrested four people including the operator of Bhatbhateni Super Market Gurung and the former Election Commissioner Sudhir Kumar Shah.

The number of arrestees in the Lalita Niwas case has reached 20 so far. They are currently being investigated by the police in the case of "organised crime".
