Gold smuggling case: Revenue Investigation Department hands over investigation to Police

KATHMANDU, Aug 6: The Department of Revenue Investigation has handed over the responsibility of investigating about 1 quintal of gold smuggled from Tribhuwan International Airport to the police.

The Director General of the Department, Navaraj Dhungana, announced on Sunday that the Investigation Department has decided to entrust the police with the information and evidence discovered from the investigations in the gold smuggling case.

"We have decided to hand over all the information and discovered evidence to the Police as all the work and investigation under organised crime will be done by the Police", said Director General Dhungana.
