Eight-point agreement reached between NAC and OBOR

Kathmandu, An eight-point agreement has been reaching between the Nepal Art Council (NAC) and the China-Nepal OBOR Cultural Exchange Promotion Association in relation to the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and cultural ties between Nepal and China. 
The agreement aims to respond positively to the BRI, deepen the friendship between Nepalese and Chinese people and enhance the cultural communications between the two countries. 
A memorandum of understanding was signed between Shankar Nath Rimal, General Secretary of the Council and Will OOI, President of the Association amid a programme held on Saturday on the occasion of the First "The Belt and Road" China-Nepal Cultural Festival, The "Reaching the Peak" China Lacquer Painting Exhibition that started the same day. 
The MoU stressed the need for maintaining constant and close contact to promote the exchanges of artists and art works between the two countries. 
Following the signing of MoU, Rimal and OOI said that this agreement would help enhance and strengthen people-to-people and state-to-state relations between the two countries through the exchange of cultures. (Photo available)
