2 dead in landslide in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, Aug 6: Two people, a father and his daughter, have died after a landslide buried a house in the Tarkeshwar Municipality in Kathmandu. According to the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Police Circle Balaju, Manojeet Kunwar, the dead have been identified as 41-year-old Ganesh Tamang and his 15-year-old daughter Aasma Tamang.

According to Kunwar, the landslide at around 9 pm on Saturday in the Tarkeshwar Municipality-5, caused the death of the two, and the wife of the deceased Ganesh Tamang, Sanju Tamang has been injured. The injured Sanju Tamang has been given first-aid treatment.
