Draft of Federal Education Act to be submitted to Cabinet tomorrow
KATHMANDU, July 31: The draft of the Federal Education Act is going to be submitted to the Cabinet meeting going to be held on Tuesday and it will be passed by the Cabinet. An official of the Ministry of Education informed that the draft Bill prepared by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, which is in the Cabinet's committee, will be submitted on Tuesday.
The draft will probably be passed by the Cabinet meeting on Tuesday and will be submitted to the Federal Parliament for necessary discussion and approval. Earlier, the then Education Minister Devendra Paudel had submitted the draft to the Council of Ministers. The cabinet meeting decided to submit the bill to the committee for further discussion. Since then, the draft could not move forward.
The two education ministers after Paudel made the necessary amendments in the draft. The then education minister Shisir Khanal had said that he would proceed only by making necessary modifications. Following that, the next Education Minister Ashok Kumar Rai studied the draft and revised it.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ also said that the draft will be presented in the Parliament meeting sitting on August 1, which will be passed by the Cabinet on the same basis.
