Inquiry committee formed to investigate 100 kg smuggled gold
KATHMANDU, July 20: The Customs Department has formed an inquiry committee to investigate the 100 kg of gold smuggled from Tribhuvan Airport.
The Director General of the Customs Department, Shobhakanta Paudel, formed the inquiry committee on Thursday. Committee's coordinator Man Bahadur Paudel has been appointed as the director of the inquiry committee.
A 7-member inquiry committee was formed to investigate the involvement of the Customs Office Staff in the Tribhuwan Airport incident, Customs Department Information Officer Punya Bikram Khadka told Ratopati. "The committee has been given the mandate to investigate the involvement of the customs staff", he said.
