Russia attacks Odesa for second night
ODESA, July 19: Russia has launched a massive air attack on the Ukrainian port city of Odesa, one of Ukraine’s main ports for exporting grain, for a second night in a row. Attacks were also reported in the capital city Kyiv, the city’s military administration said on the Telegram channel.
Ukraine claims that Russia intentionally struck the port of Odesa “to destroy the possibility of shipping Ukrainian grain.”
In an interview with Politico, the U.K.’s Secret Intelligence Service (MI6), Sir Richard Moore said that Russian President Vladimir Putin is “clearly under pressure” after last month’s Wagner mutiny.
More than 2,000 people from the area near the Kirovske military base in Crimea will be temporarily evacuated after a fire broke out at the base, said the Russian-installed governor of Crimea said. He has yet to provide a reason for the fire breaking out.
