Lalita Niwas case: Habeas Corpus to be heard continuously on Wednesday
KATHMANDU, July 18: The habeas corpus writ filed by the defendants in the Lalita Niwas case is to be heard continuously after the hearing could not come to a conclusion on Tuesday.
The defendant's side filed the habeas corpus after Communication Secretary Krishna Bahadur Raut, Bhatbhateni Operator Minbahadur Gurung, Former Election Commissioner Sudhir Kumar Shah and former Land Revenue Office employee Dharma Prasad Gautam were arrested by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) on charges of misappropriation of government land inside "Lalita Niwas Camp".
They had filed a writ of habeas corpus in the Supreme Court for illegal detention which was to be heard continuously on Tuesday. The writ has been postponed for continuous hearing on Wednesday after the hearing could not be concluded on Tuesday.
