Foreigner arrested with 10,000 US dollars at airport

KATHMANDU, July 18: Nepal Police have arrested a foreigner with 10,000 US dollars from Tribhuvan International Airport. 

A team of Police arrested the 43-year-old Lebanese citizen L Yaman Mohammad at the Tribhuvan International Airport. He was flying to Dubai from Nepal on a Nepal Airlines flight.

According to the Police Headquarters, he was arrested after 100 units of US dollars in 100 denominations were found in his handbag during checking at the airport.

He has been sent to the Department of Revenue Investigation at Hariharbhawan for further investigation and action.
