Lalita Niwas case: Habeas Corpus in continuous hearing
KATHMANDU, July 17: The habeas corpus writ filed by the defendants is to be heard continuously after the hearing couldn't come to a conclusion on Monday.
The defendant's side filed the habeas corpus after Communication Secretary Krishna Bahadur Raut, Bhatbhateni Operator Minbahadur Gurung, Former Election Commissioner Sudhir Kumar Shah and former Land Revenue Office employee Dharma Prasad Gautam were arrested by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) on charges of misappropriation of government land inside "Lalita Niwas Camp".
They had filed a writ of habeas corpus in the Supreme Court for illegal detention which was to be heard on Monday. The writ is to be heard continuously on Tuesday after the hearing couldn't be concluded on Monday.
