LOD Club minor rape case: Club manager arrested
KATHMANDU, July 17: The Kathmandu Police have arrested the manager of the LOD (Lord of the Drinks) club Sahadev Sedhai in the LOD minor rape case.
The manager was arrested on the charge of letting a 15-year-old girl enter the club in Thamel, Kathmandu District Police Range SP Sitaram Rijal told Ratopati. Manager Sedhai is in police custody since the 13th of July according to Rijal.
Earlier, owners Rajusingh Suwal and Rudil Ballav Shrestha were arrested by the police from Baluwatar on Thursday evening for allowing a 15-year-old girl to enter the club on the 13th of June. They were released under "trusteeship" by a public prosecutor.
Manager Sedhai was arrested on the same day the owners were released. The owners and the managers are both being investigated in the case of 'offences related to children', SP Rijal informed.
A 15-year-old minor who went to the LOD club was raped by 50-year-old Sudan Koirala from Pokhara, who took her to his room in Lalitpur on the 14th of June. Koirala is currently detained in Lalitpur District Police Range.
