Court permits detention of Communication Secretary and 17 others for 5 more days

KATHMANDU, July 16: The Kathmandu District Court has granted permission to detain 17 people including Communications Secretary Krishna Bahadur Raut and Bhatbhateni Supermarket Operator Min Bahadur Gurung for another 5 days.
The court granted the police permission to detain them for 5 more days and investigate the case regarding the misappropriation of government land in Baluwatar.
The court had previously given the police 7 days for the first time, 7 days for the second time and 5 days for the third time. In total, the arrested have been detained for a total of 19 days.
