Foreign Affairs Minister NP Saud leaving for Bangkok today
KATHMANDU, July 16: Foreign Affairs Minister NP Saud is leaving for Bangkok today. The Nepali delegation led by Minister Saud will leave for Bangkok today to participate in the retreat of BIMSTEC foreign ministers.
According to the Secretariat of Minister Saud, he will leave for Bangkok via Thai Smile Airways at 1:30 pm on Sunday, today. According to the secretariat, he is scheduled to return home on July 18.
BIMSTEC has India, Nepal, Myanmar, Thailand, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh as member countries. But SAARC countries Pakistan, Afghanistan and Maldives are not members. BIMSTEC is also considered a regional organization promoted by India in place of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC).
