19 injured as bus plunges
CHITWAN, July 14: Nineteen people were injured after a passenger-carrying bus plunged at Dasdhunga along the Narayanghat-Muglin road section early this morning.
The bus (Bagmati Province 01-006 Kha 5237) met the accident at 5:20 today at Dasdhunga of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-29 on its way to Kathmandu, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bijay Raj Pandit said. As high as 40 passengers were traveling by the bus. The bus was coming from Kakarbhitta, Jhapa.
The bus fell 10 meters off the road after losing control, police added.
Likewise, 18 injured persons are receiving treatment in different hospitals in the Chitwan district while an individual has been referred to Kathmandu for treatment, according to police.
