Lalita Niwas case: Supreme Court orders Raut to appear in court within 24 hours

KATHMANDU, July 13: The Supreme Court has issued an order to present Communication Secretary Krishna Bahadur Raut before the court within 24 hours. The order was issued by the single bench of Justice Til Prasad Shrestha on Thursday.

A few days ago, Secretary Raut was taken into custody by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CIB) for the misuse of government documents related to the Lalita Niwas case.

After a writ of habeas corpus was filed on behalf of Secretary Raut claiming he was illegally detained by the CIB, the court ordered the person to appear before the court with the written answer.
