Helicopter crash update: Dead bodies of victims brought to Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, July 11: Six people were found dead in a helicopter crash at Likhupike Rural Municipality on Tuesday. Their dead bodies have been brought to the TU Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu by helicopter.

Due to bad weather, the 9N-AMV helicopter of Manang Air, which took off from Surke at 10:10 am, lost contact within 5-7 minutes, according to the Nepal Air Service Operators Association.

The initial investigation by the police concluded that the helicopter, which took off at 10:13 am in the morning, crashed into a tree. The dead bodies of the 5 victims including Captain Chet Bahadur Gurung were found in a burnt state.
