3 ruling parties not to pass budget of Sudurpaschim Province

DHANGADI, July 10: The 3 ruling parties have decided not to pass the budget of Sudurpaschim Province for the next fiscal year 2080/081.

The decision was made during the joint meeting between the ruling parties CPN Maoist Centre, People's Freedom Party and Unified Socialists on Monday.

People's Freedom Party's leader Ghanshyam Chaudhary informed that the 3 parties decided not to pass the budget as it was against the essence of federalism and it was individual-based.

On June 16, the province government's Minister of Economic Affairs Naresh Kumar Shahi presented a budget of Rs 29 billion 265 million and 932 thousand for the next fiscal year.

Dissatisfaction over the budget was seen not only in the main opposition party CPN-UML but also within the ruling coalition. Nepal Congress MPs are also protesting against the budget.
