1xBet issue: Case filed against actors and YouTubers for publicizing and advertising 1xBet

KATHMANDU, July 10: An indictment was filed in the Kathmandu District Court on Sunday against the actors and YouTubers who were arrested on the charge of promoting 1xBet, which is a betting company.

A case has been filed against a total of 11 people for betting-related offenses and offenses under the Nepal Rastra Bank Act, 2058. According to Achyutamani Neupane, Associate Advocate of the District Government Attorney’s Office, Kathmandu, the case has already been registered in the Kathmandu District Court on Sunday.

A case has been filed against Dinesh Khadka, Anita Dhimal along with Jalan Gharti Magar, Alish Rai, Ganesh Devkota, Begum Nepali, Marichman Shrestha (Balchhi Dhurbe), Raju Paudel (Raju Master), Roshan Khatiwada, Saroj Ghimire and the absconding Kushal Pokharel.

Comedians Raju Master and Balchhi Dhurbe have been booked in the Kathmandu District Court demanding one-year imprisonment and a charge of 10,000 rupees, while a charge of 649,429,820 rupees has been demanded from 28-year-old Dinesh Khadka and 29-year-old Anita Dhital along with 7 years imprisonment, among the 11 defendants arrested and prosecuted by the police.

Statements are being taken for detention hearings at the district court in Kathmandu.
