Communication Secretary Krishna Bahadur Raut arrested

KATHMANDU, July 9: Communication Ministry's Secretary Krishna Bahadur Raut has been arrested by the Police. Central Bureau of Investigation AIG Kiran Bajracharya informed Ratopati of his arrest.

He was arrested by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) on charges of misappropriation of government land inside "Lalita Niwas Camp".

Dinesh Acharya, SSP of the Central Bureau of Investigation, told Ratopati that 27 ropani of land were stolen during the road widening in the Lalita Niwas area. 8 ropani of land have gone to the road leading from the Speaker's residence to the NRNA building.

The court has also issued an arrest warrant against the former Secretary Narayangopal Malego.
