Protests in front of Lalitpur Metropolitan against public land demolition

LALITPUR, July 6: Various Tole Reform Committees, Tole Development Committees, clubs and organizations protested in front of Lalitpur Metropolitan Corporation claiming that public lands had been handed to land mafia through contracts for commercial purposes.

The protestors stated that they would not accept the decision of the Mayor and Ward President of Ward-12, claiming that commercial Complexes should not be built on public land.

The protestors have demanded to cancel the contracts. The protesters raised slogans in front of the Metropolitan City building in Pulchowk with various placards.
