Writ of habeas corpus of Min Bahadur Gurung and two others will not be heard today as well

KATHMANDU, July 6: The writ of habeas corpus of Min Bahadur Gurung, Sudhir Kumar Shah and Dharma Prasad Gautam, who are in the custody of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) in the Lalita Niwas Case, was unable to be heard today as well. Even though the writ was scheduled for hearing, it was unable to be heard on the second day as well.

The writ scheduled for hearing by the joint bench of Justices Bishwambhar Prasad Shrestha and Kumar Regmi on Thursday could not be heard due to the presence of Justice Regmi, who was once a lawyer of one of the writ petitioner Min Bahadur Gurung.

Writ Petitioner Gautam is the then Branch Officer of the Land Revenue Office Dillibazaar while Shah is a former Election Commissioner and Gurung is the operator of the Bhat Bhateni Supermarket. They had filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court for arrest in a case that had already expired.
