High Court approves Harka Sampang as Chairman of Water Supply Board

BIRATNAGAR, July 5: The Biratnagar High Court has approved the Dharan Sub-Metropolitan Mayor Harka Sampang as the Chairman of the Water Supply Board, denying to issue an interim order per the writ filed against him.

 The writ was filed against Sampang by Bijay Shrestha, a member of the Water Supply Board, for becoming the Chairman of the Board on his own accord.

With this court order, a way has opened for Harka Sampang to work as the Chairman of the Dharan Water Supply Board.

The joint bench of Justice Krishna Kamal Adhikari and Muraribabu Shrestha approved Sampang to work as the Chairman of the Coard during the hearing on Wednesday.
