Associate Professor Chalaune to end his hunger strike today
KATHMANDU, June 23: The Associate Professor of Tribhuwan University, Prem Chalaune, who was on a hunger strike for the past five days will end his hunger strike at 1 pm today. He was on a hunger strike as a protest to the decision of the court to take back the case against those who attacked him.
Chalaune is going to end his hunger strike after the Supreme Court gave an interim order not to implement the decision to take back the case.
On October 6, 2020, the workers of the Nepal Students Association attacked the Associate Professor of Sociology, Chalaune. The group of Tribhuwan University Nepal Students Association Chairman Hari Acharya had attacked Chalaune. There was a case against 5 people including Acharya in the District Court Kathmandu.
