Internal Affairs and Law Minister Prithvi Bahadur Singh passes away

DHANGADHI: Sudurpaschim Government's Internal Affairs and Law Minister Prithvi Bahadur Singh has passed away after being involved in a car accident on Tuesday.

After a car accident that took place on Jayprithvi Highway located in Jharchhada at Bajhang Kedarsyu Rural Municipality-1, Minister Prithvi Bahadur Singh was taken to Nepalganj Medical College in Banke for further treatment. He passed away during treatment at 5:33 pm in the evening according to Nepal Congress Sudurpaschim informer Geeta Chaudhary.

Two other people also passed away in the car accident. Singh's wife Amrita Singh and his sister-in-law Jayadevi Singh are among the dead.

The vehicle with registration plate number 01001 Jha 480 suffered an accident as it fell about 50 meters to the Kalanga River bank from the road. The five passengers were immediately taken to the local Ritu Polyclinic and Primary Health Center in Deura for treatment by the Police.

Amrita and Jaydevi died on the spot according to the Sudurpaschim Province Police Office's ASP Shyam Singh Chaudhary. Minister Singh's driver Dharmaraj Joshi and his security guard policeman Dipak Bhandari are currently being treated in the Nepalgunj Medical College.
