Four Prem Chalaune supporters arrested in District Court

KATHMANDU, June 20: Four supporters of Prem Chalaune have been arrested in the Kathmandu District Court by Police on Tuesday. They were arrested after they went to the District Court premises to show support to TU Associate Professor Prem Chalaune with banners.

The four arrestees are currently detained in the Singha Darbar Police Circle, informed Kathmandu District Police Range spokesperson SP Sitaram Rijal.

Professor Chalaune has gone on a hunger strike to protest the government's decision to withdraw the case of the beating incident against him. The Police had released him after detaining him on Monday.
