Lawsuit filed by HISSAN demanding 150 million compensation

KATHMANDU, June 18: HISSAN has filed a lawsuit against the Kathmandu Metropolitan City for banning the educational fair. The case was filed in the Patan High Court demanding a compensation of 150 million rupees.

The Kathmandu Metropolitan City had previously banned the educational fair held at Bhrikutimandap. Senior Vice President of HISSAN Yuvraj Sharma claimed that the Metropolitan unnecessarily stopped the program which was approved by the Ministry of Education. He said that they lost more than 300 million when the fair was postponed.

The Metropolitan had stopped the fair after students were given receipts in advance during the fair and promised discounts for later admissions, before the result of grades 10 and 12.
