Meeting in Baluwatar for formation of Socialist Front
KATHMANDU, June 18: A meeting is going on in the Prime Minister’s residence at Baluwatar for the formation of the Socialist Front. A member of the Prime Minister’s Secretariat informed that CPN Maoist Center, Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), CPN (Unified Socialist), and Biplab-led CPN are participating in the meeting.
Discussions are being held between Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', JSP Chairman Upendra Yadav, CPN (US) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, and CPN General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplab’ to discuss the announcement of the upcoming Socialist Front.
It has been said that discussions will be held on the inclusion of Nepal Samajwadi Party Chairman Baburam Bhattarai and CPN Unity campaign coordinator Bamdev Gautam in the Socialist Front. It is said that the Socialist Front will be announced on Monday or Tuesday.
Maoist spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara, JSP leader Rajendra Shrestha and CPN (US) leader Rajendra Pandey have been given the responsibility to prepare the draft of the Socialist Front.
