Arrested actors and Youtubers to be detained for 4 days

KATHMANDU, June 15: The Police have been permitted to detain 5 actors and 3 Youtubers for 4 days for the promotion of online betting. Kathmandu District Court has granted permission to hold them in their custody for investigation.

The actors Raju Paudel (Raju Master), Marichman Shrestha (Balchhi Dhurbe), Begam Nepali (Bhatbhate Maila), Pawan Khatiwada (Myakuri) and Saroj Ghimire were arrested by the team of Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office. Similarly, Youtubers Alish Rai, Jalan Gharti Magar and Ganesh Devkota were also arrested, according to Chief SSP Dr. Manoj KC.

They were found promoting online betting through their own Facebook pages and YouTube. Police informed that the investigation revealed bettings of millions through the 1x bet app.
