3 arrested including School Staff Council Chairman

KATHMANDU, June 15: The Police have arrested 3 people including School Staff Council Chairman Gangaram Tiwari for demonstrating a protest demanding service security on Thursday. They were arrested by the police when they tried to roadblock the Maitighar Mandala during the protest.

Senior Vice Chairman Pradip Shrestha and Humla's Dhan Bahadur Mahat were arrested along with the Chairman. They are currently being held at the Police Checkpost in Singhadurbar.

The protestors have issued a press release demanding the immediate release of the arrestees without any conditions. According to the Council's General Secretary Shantinath Yogi, the police confronted them during a peaceful protest. He warned to continue the protests if the arrestees aren't immediately released and the demands are not heard.
