Chief Secretary changed, Aryal appointed to the post

KATHMANDU, June 15: The government has changed the Chief Secretary. Foreign Minister NP Saud informed that the Cabinet meeting held on Thursday accepted the resignation of the current Chief Secretary Shankardas Bairagi and decided to appoint Baikuntha Aryal as the new Chief Secretary on the basis of seniority.

Bairagi resigned from the Chief Secretary before his tenure ended. His tenure was to end on September/October 2023.

The government has accepted his resignation and appointed him as an advisor of the National Security Council.
