Ruling partners meet to discuss budget

KATHMANDU, June 13: Leaders of ruling partners today met to discuss contemporary issues including the budget. During the meeting took place at the Prime Minister's official residence, Baluwatar, the parties agreed to meet again and exchanged views on the budget and other issues. 

It may be noted that ruling partners CPN (Unified Socialist) and Janata Samajbadi Party have expressed their concerns over some points in the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2023-24 and this was one of the agenda of today's meeting. The government presented the budget on May 29. 

CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' and CPN (Unified Socialist) Chair and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal were among those present in the meeting.
