Gaur murder case to be heard in Justice Shrestha's bench

KATHMANDU, June 13: The writ petition filed against the Gaur Murder case is scheduled to be heard in the bench of Justice Bishwambhar Prasad Shrestha. The writ was filed by Tribhuwan Shah demanding an investigation of the massacre case and legal actions against the culprit.

On 21st March 2007, 28 Maoist members were killed when the Madhesi People’s Rights Forum and the CPN-Maoists organized their programs in the same place at the rice mill in Gaur, Rautahat. The leaders, workers and criminal groups associated with the Forum were claimed to be involved in the massacre.

On behalf of the victim’s family, Tribhuwan Shah has registered a writ demanding a case to be filed based on re-investigation and the report received. The writ was filed against the Prime Minister's Office and the Council of Ministers, Ministry of Home Affairs, Police Headquarters, District Police Office Rautahat and District Public Prosecutor Office Rautahat.

The writ scheduled in the bench of Justice Raut is numbered "Nga" today. An order of dispatch has been claimed in the writ.
