Saudi Embassy withdraws compulsory educational qualifications
KATHMANDU, June 12: The Saudi Embassy in Nepal has withdrawn from the decision to make educational certificates compulsory. The embassy previously announced to make education certificates mandatory to apply for VISA from today.
The Embassy did not make educational certificates mandatory for visa applications today. Rajendra Bhandari, President of the Nepal Foreign Employment Association, said that the Embassy did not ask for educational certificates on visa applications.
Protests started all around after the embassy issued a notice to make educational certificates mandatory. The embassy withdrew from the decision due to pressure from all sides including the government.
