Decision to appoint Chief Justice to be made on June 15th

KATHMANDU, June 11: The decision on whether to appoint Harikrishna Karki as Chief Justice will be made on the 15th of June. The decision will be made after investigating and discussing the case filed against Karki.

In a meeting held on Monday, photocopies were distributed to the committee members to investigate the 29 complaints against proposed Chief Justice Karki. Karki was proposed for the Chief Justice position by the Constitutional Council on May 8. Acting Supreme Court Chief Justice Karki will go on compulsory leave from the 5th of August.
