Complaints against proposed Chief Justice opened, photocopies distributed to MPs
KATHMANDU, June 12: The Parliamentary Hearing Committee has opened the complaints against the proposed Chief Justice Harikrishna Karki. Preparations to discuss on the complaints are on the way and it is said that the decisions will be given before June 16.
Complaints filed against the proposed Chief Justice Karki were opened in the committee meeting held at Singha Darbar on Monday morning. The meeting was chaired by the senior member of the House of Representatives Pashupati Shamsher Jabara.
29 complaints have been filed against Karki in the committee and the photocopies of the complaints that were opened on Monday have been distributed to the committee members for studying.
The committee has made a plan to discuss with those that filed the complaints on June 13 and June 14, call the proposed Chief Justice for a hearing on June 15, and hold a meeting on June 16 at 8 am to give the decision.
