Fake Bhutanese Refugee Case: Debate from Sandeep’s side starts

KATHMANDU, June 11: Advocate Ishwari Bhattarai has started the debate from the side of Sandeep Rayamajhi, a defendant in the fake Bhutanese refugee case. After the debate from the side of Top Bahadur Rayamajhi was completed by former Attorney General Ramesh Badal, Senior Advocate Sushil Panta and others on Friday, Advocate Bhattarai started the debate on behalf of Sandeep on Sunday.

Sandeep was arrested after he was found taking Rupees 40 Lakhs from Sanu Bhandari. It has been found that Sanu and Sandeep were cooperating as business partners.

After the testimony in Justice Prem Prasad Neupane’s court in the case of fake Bhutanese refugees ended, the debate has been going on gradually about whether to send the defendants to prison or not.

Among the 30 defendants in the case, 18 people have been arrested while 12 are still on the run.
