Gaur massacre case postponed

KATHMANDU, June 8: The case filed against the Gaur massacred case has been postponed. The writ submitted to the single bench of Judge Prakashman Singh Raut has been moved forward on Thursday.

Three separate cause lists were assigned to Justice Raut on Thursday. According to the list, the writ was assigned to the single bench of Justice Raut, the joint bench of Raut and Kumar Regmi and the joint bench of Raut and Sushmalata Mathema.

On 21st March 2007, 28 Maoist members were killed when the Madhesi People’s Rights Forum and the CPN-Maoists organized their programs in the same place at the rice mill in Gaur, Rautahat. The leaders, workers and criminal groups associated with the Forum were claimed to be involved in the massacre.

Another case assigned to Justice Kumar Regmi is being heard by Justice Raut at the moment.
