Prachanda clarifies on question about border
KATHMANDU, June 5: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said that he has not given any option regarding the border. Addressing the meeting of the House of Representatives on Monday, PM Dahal made it clear that he did not propose any solutions regarding the border.
PM Dahal also said that Kalapani, Lipulek, and Limpiyadhura are parts of Nepal and that he is clear that establishing that it is the land of Nepal is the biggest thing. He also said that he played his role accordingly.
Requesting not to distort the facts, PM Dahal said that his visit to India was not only successful but also historic. Claiming his desire to speak seriously and responsibly about the problems of Kalapani, Lipulek, and Limpiyadhura, he said that the problem must be solved. Unless there is a long-term solution, the problem between Nepal and India cannot be solved, he said.
He stated that he has clearly raised the border issue with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Claiming that it was the first time from the Prime Minister level that the border issue should be resolved, he said that they want this problem to be solved permanently.
He also expressed his happiness that for the first time, the Indian Prime Minister spoke about solving the border problem.
