Excessive heat affects lifestyle in Nepal (with pictures)

KATHMANDU, June 2: Heat has increased all over the country including Kathmandu. The heat is estimated to increase even further because of the delay of monsoon this year. The temperature in places like the Banke district has soared, reaching as high as 41 degrees Celsius.

Nepalgunj Sub Metropolitan City and Khajura Rural Municipality have decided to shut community schools within the local levels because of excessive heat.

The lifestyles of many have been affected because of the excessive heat. Rautahat District Education Coordination Unit and Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City have also announced school holidays for a week due to the unbearable heat.
