Sandeep Lamichhane's case unresolved today as well
KATHMANDU, May 30: Kathmandu District Court could not give a verdict on the case against Sandeep Lamichhane, who was accused of raping a minor. During the last hearing of the case before the bench of Justice Shankar Bahadur Rai, the case was prolonged after the lawyer of the victim's side said that the application for interim compensation was not addressed.
Justice Rai has ordered to keep the petition demanding interim compensation from the victim. Now the hearing schedule will be fixed for the final hearing on the next day.
As the case has been prolonged, Sandeep Lamichhane will not be able to go to South Africa immediately for the tournament in which the Nepali cricket team will participate. The Nepali team is going to South Africa under a schedule of about one and a half months.
The case is being prolonged for various reasons recently which is at the final point of conclusion to be given the verdict.
