Government's Plans for Economy Improvement

KATHMANDU, May 19: The government has made a commitment to implement the sectoral policies and programs in a harmonious manner in financial, monetary and other matters for the coming financial year. The government made the commitment through the policies and programs for the next financial year presented by President Ramchandra Paudel in the House of Representatives on Friday.

Similarly, President Ramchandra Paudel said that he will also address the decline in the overall demand of the economy, the contraction of liquidity, price hikes, low capital expenditure, decreasing revenue collection and the pressure on the external sector. 

Likewise, the government aims to increase production and productivity through a strong partnership between the government and the private sector and thereby creating employment.

In addition to improving the environment for investment to increase foreign investment, President Paudel also announced that he will proceed with improving the revenue system. In addition to reforming the existing tax system, the government has taken the goal of expanding the scope of revenue and connecting all types of economic activities to formal channels through policies and programs.
