PM Dahal and KP Oli holding discussion for agreement on Chief Justice

KATHMANDU, April 21: A discussion is going on between Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' and CPN UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli at Singha Darbar, the Secretariat of the Prime Minister informed.

The discussion between the two leaders is an effort to reach an agreement on issues such as the appointment of the Chief Justice, the formation of a parliamentary committee and the TRC Bill.

Earlier in the meeting of the Constitutional Council held on Wednesday, the Prime Minister, who is also the Chairman of the Constitutional Council, proposed the acting Chief Justice Harikrishna Karki for the appointment of the Chief Justice, but Chairman Oli had disagreed saying the process of appointing the Chief Justice should be started only after the completion of the parliamentary committee.
