FNCCI senior vice-presidential election results in re-election as no candidate crosses threshold

KATHMANDU, April 13: The Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI) has announced that a re-election will be held for the position of Senior Vice-President after none of the three candidates received more than 51 percent of votes required to win.

The FNCCI has a provision that states a candidate must receive over 51 percent of the votes to be declared the winner. As none of the candidates were able to cross the threshold, the re-election will now take place between the candidates who stood in the first and second positions in the earlier election.
