Audio case: Dhakakumar slips in press conference
KATHMANDU, April 12: Dhakakumar Shrestha, who was suspended from the Rashtriya Swatantra Party, said two contrasting things during the press conference. He appeared before the media after the party's central committee meeting and initially said that his audio was fake. However, while speaking, he slipped by saying that the audio conversation that took place in January/February has been brought up now.
"This audio is a media that can be created by anyone, anywhere, and in any way, especially now. Editing can be done. The voice that I speak now can be brought out again by turning it in another way, by editing. This audio is not very authentic. It is said we talked on WhatsApp. Where did my things come from and now it has come to the media like this? I want to express my regret for this", he said, trying to show his innocence at the press conference.
However, while he was speaking, he slipped and contradicted his own explanation by saying that the audio of January/February was brought up at the time of the election. He had said, "This audio is nothing. It is bait. Well planned. Bringing the audio from January/February now is a well-planned attack on our party from all sides."
