COVID death second day in a row

KATHMANDU, April 12: There has been a Covid-19 related death for the second day in a row. With this, the total number of deaths due to Covid-19 has reached 12,022.

For the first time since September, a death occurred by Covid-19 on Tuesday. Co-spokesperson of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Samir Kumar Adhikari informed that the person who died on Tuesday was a 78-year-old man infected with Coronavirus. The man who died due to infection had health problems such as diabetes and high blood pressure. He was being treated in Kathmandu.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, in the last 24 hours, 121 people have been infected with the coronavirus across the country. While testing the samples of 2,377 people, infection was confirmed in 58 people by PCR method and 63 people by the antigen test method.

During this period, 81 more people recovered. 42 thousand 180 additional people have been vaccinated against Covid-19.
