Balen Shah requests Police get rid of structures made by encroaching roads

KATHMANDU, April 8: Balen Shah, the Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City has requested the Nepal Police to remove the structures built by them within the metropolitan area by encroaching on the roads. Mayor Shah has stated that it is the responsibility of the police to enforce the law and it is wrong that they themselves have constructed the structures by encroaching upon the road.

Mayor Shah requested the Nepal Police via social media to remove the structures themselves or else they will be removed by the metropolitan.

Stating that the footpath should always be used for people to walk and businesses have been stopped there, he said that this rule should be applied not only to common people but to everyone.
