CPN (Maoist Center) and CPN (US) to support other parties in upcoming by-election instead of filing their candidacy

KATHMANDU, April 3: In a recent development, CPN (Maoist Center) and CPN (Unified Socialist) have announced that they will not be filing their candidacy for the upcoming by-election in Bara, Tanahun, and Chitwan. Instead, the CPN (Maoist Center) has declared their support for the Nepali Congress in Chitwan-2 and Tanahun-1, and for JSP in Bara-2.

The CPN (US) has also decided to follow suit, as both parties are members of the ruling coalition.

This decision is likely to have an impact on the by-election and the political dynamics in the region.
